The Practice was initiated in December 2000, offering Project Management, traditional Quantity Surveying services as well as those of Planning Supervisor under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 1994, and lately, as a CDM co-ordinator under the 2007 version of those Regulations.
I carry out all CDM co-ordination and potential dispute work personally.
The Practice carries £2 Million professional indemnity cover in a form as to be compliant with the requirements of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, of which I have been a member since 1972 and a qualified Chartered Surveyor since 1980.
I am a qualified member of the Association of Project Safety but as CDM co-ordinator the service is reliant upon experience in construction backed by knowledge of health and safety law and procedures. We have a detailed technical back-up assembled since the CDM Regulations were introduced. Since the implementation of the Regulations I have acted on many projects of varying degrees of complexity. This has been reinforced by almost thirty years of continuous experience in construction – in Private Practice, contracting and building-related insurance claim work. As a result, we are able to apply this knowledge to the principles of risk management with a depth of practical experience supplemented by approved seminars and training courses.
I would estimate that I have acted as Planning Supervisor/CDM co-ordinator for previous employers on around eighty contracts, for Clients ranging from local Authorities to Housing Associations, developers and private Clients on schemes between £30,000 to £10 million in value.
I can assure you of an efficient, personal and pro-active service on any schemes with which I am involved and I would be most pleased to submit a fee proposal for those any individual/combination of roles should the opportunity arise. In the meantime, if you require any further information I shall be most pleased to provide it.
